  On my 93 SE-R...
 I got a 15.1 with a home made cold air intake. A hotshot Gen3 header (325$)
UR 4 pulley set ($225) and the courtesy bpipe ($185) with rice muffler ($85)
That comes out to $820 bucks. So if you actually go out and buy a CAI then
I wouldnt expect to pay more than $160. That would be your thousand bucks.
 With these mods my car put down 141hp to the wheels. I did run a 14.8 a
few weeks ago with a borrowed ecu. But I'm going back this Wednesday to break
into the 14's without one. Traction seems to be main problem right now.
 And this is with a shitty driver.. I was runing 16.5 back when it was stock.
According to my 60ft times I should have a 14.9 with a decent launch. This
is on a 200k motor too mind you. So a younger specimen may be able to break
into the 14's with more ease. I'm not saying that the GA16 sucks ass or 
anything, just that you can and I will get me into the 14's with a thousand
bucks :).
