Learn how to drive.  THat's it.  SE-R's can do it period.  It's all in the driver.  Jay Hassinger ran a 15.0 with pulleys, homemade intake, and timing.   I got a CAI, header, and exhaust for less than 1000.  You can use used parts too which would drive the price even more.  You are running 16.2 because you aren't doing a perfect launch.  FYI, I ran a 15.7 stock with a 2.3 60' time.  With a 2.2 I would've ran a 15.5 stock.
