I am rebuilding using the advice of Tim mathers motorsports. I had
Venolia make me 10.5:1 pistons and Pauter is making me rods. I am sending
the crank out to have the counterweights shaved a little to reduce spin lag.
Micorpolish and balanced for higher RPM's. This will allow the motor to spin
quicker to that redline. I am also redoing the head, but am waiting for the
cams to come from JWT, so I can match the ports of the head the flow of the
cam. I don't want to overport it and lose power. I have 2 heads right now
and am going to experiment with ports, my uncle helps me out with this part.
He did a few SR20 heads with good results, so I trust him and he will not
charge me for the work, just put his name on the car as a sponsor!
