Terrin,
My best 1/4 mile time to date was a 16.1 @ 83.17 MPH with a 2.256 60' time.
This was done with the stock 14's @ 25 PSI. My mods at that time were the
JWT pop and ECU, 2.5" non-mandrel (not too crushed ;) ) cat back with an
A'PEXi N1 muffler. I also had the ACT clutch and a lightened OEM flywheel,
along with the SMC short throw! I now have the UR pulley HS header and HS
CAI (not installed yet). I ran with the stuff but am suspect of the motor
mounts due to some launching issues. I was unable to duplicate my usual low
2.3 and 2.2 60' times. I am certain it's capable of a mid to high 15 sec.
pass. With the CAI I hope to be near 15.6. Before the 16.1 I had been to the
track on other time and I was able to run a 16.9 on 17's without the JWT
ECU. The JWT ECU dropped me to 16.4 on the 17's and the 14's dropped me to
16.1. And the night I ran the 16.1 I beat an EX civic coupe with I/H/E,
clutch and a few other bolt ons. I recently drove a B15 SE w/ POP and both
myself and it's owner feel confident that my car is a shade quicker! Yes I
know this is a lot of work for what seems (to you SE-R guys) as a minimal
improvement! But damn is it fun messing with this little motor! Oh and I
almost forgot that I have a 96 200SX SE. The base model is quicker as it
omits PS and AC, which seems to afford a few tenths in the 1/4. Hope to see
the 15's next spring and I will keep everyone posted!
late,
wes

For those of you that actually go out to the dragstrip to race, like Wes,
what kind of 1/4 mile times are you getting with boltons? I've seen lots of
Civic EX's in the 15's with bolt ons but have yet to see somebody on this
list. What I'm wondering is if some of you just need practice? Can you
guys post some of your 1/4 mile times with the all important 60' time?
Thanks. Wes? I'm especially interested in all your times with each bolt
on.
