Ever try 22 PSI in your tires?  How about a small burnout, not a smokey one, 
just a little spin to warm them up a little.  Ever try that?  I'm sure you 
could hit a high 15 pass now.

I can totally understand that.  Actually, the base model will be quicker, 
not because it omits PS and AC though.  I had both in my old 200SX.  It's 
weight.  They dont' have power anything except the side mirrors.  No girly 
stuff like automatic windows and sunroof.  Just manly performance oriented 
light weight.  Hehehe.  The base model is probably almost 200 lbs lighter.
