i just got all the pieces together for the ser tb install. i purchased a new
95 ser tb from nissan, 286 bucks.i went to home depo with my shiny new tb to
get some pvc tubing. while i was there i measured the bore its was pretty
close to 2 1/2 inches.in solm article it said 2 inches.heres the problem home
depo doesnt sell 2 1/2 inch pvc. so i went big 3 inches with 3 inch couplers.
i was thinking of the latest Japanese style large chamber intakes.i cut the
original intake hose apart leaving the lip around the mass air sensor to take
up some room to clamp the larger pipe.i will also use another coupler to
take up the slack on the tb side. i drilled a perfect 2 1/2 inch bore with a
hole saw. i stuffed the intake with rags and used an electronics vacume to
get all the shavings out of the intake.the bore is near perfect when matched
to the new ser tb gasket. like the article said i purchased two fittings from
pep boys and carefully epoxyed them to the pvc (trying to leave as little as
possible protruding into the intake tract) . the epoxy has to dry over night
so the fun will have to wait untill sat. morning. i think this will be the
most noticable seat of the pants mod i have done to a sentra.i will let you
guys know the end results on sat.
