I will tell you, with the automatic, the thing does snap a good bit when you
punch it. I may need to adjust the TPS, but it does work well! I believe
the cams and head with higher compression will yield more gain with this
thing. I will convert the SER MAF that I have when the motor is finished. I
know a person at Extrude hone and I am taking the manifold over to them for a
smoothing of it.
Also, the TPS needs readjusted because the idle is a bit high. I bumped
it a bit and it blipped, so I need to work on it a bit more. There is a
noticable deep growl from the motor now.
I did struggle with the fitment of the GA linkage. I used toilet
supply tube to make the shaft bigger and in turn to get the pieces to fit to
the "new shaft", I had to enlarge the holes on the parts to fit the thing
together. Yes, it was worth it because I like projects. Just like the moto
rebuild, its a challenge to make it work, but to know that you don't have to
spend a fortune on parts.
I did have 3 TB's before this one trying to figure which year
would be OK and I saw the RC TB for the 200sx in SCC and that gave me the
idea that the TPS would work and the linkage is similar in nature although I
did not use the linkage, the placement points were the same as the GA's, so
it worked easily. Apparently, the 95 SE-R atuomatic had no kickdown cable
and the tranny was part computer or electronic control. That is why I could
not find a automatic TB!
Later for now, Chris 92 classic
