My facility is currently looking at refining our sepsis patients in order to
improve our patient outcome. We are using the Lean Six Sigma project protocol
and have a project both involving the ED and also the ICUs. Right now we are
in our early stages of development and we are struggling with the "time zero".
The ED is using time zero as the registration time but we are not convincing
the intensive the doctors that this is the best time to use. They want to
use "time zero" as the first hour that the patient is consistently hypotensive.
What are your thoughts on this? Thanks, Carly
