one minor comment: from your diagram, it seems that you miss one set of
'well hidden' ports. The backupers use a separate TCP connection to
transfer dumps (see BackupManager.setupDumpFileServer()). As long as you
don't use the transfer dump command, this is not an issue for you though.
Also, you left - may be on purpose - the management part of the system
out of the picture (JMX ports).
With the 4 sets of ports (jdbc, jmx, group-comm, backupers), you should
have a complete picture.
