Besides C# vs. Java debate, IDE debate is probably another hot topic in the
mail list.  It is funny that I saw both of them in one week.

There is no definite answer to which one is better, as far as I have read.
However, to your question about why someone uses J++, I know one thing is
that you can build COM object to it and making it part of ASP server.  I
have a friend hosting a personal ASP server for a MUD game.  He builds the
COM objects that can connect to the MUD server and download the on line user
information.  To him, a Java Developer who doesn't have much money to afford
an advanced server (at least not yet), a ASP server with COM support is
quite a good solution.  Later, he can swith to JSP server and still use most
of the code.

I think this situation might also apply to some business.

Metrowerks Codewarrior, Symantec Cafe (specialy for the
UsertInterface), JBuilder, and so on... why do you want to be catch
