I've got a B61 PING putter coming in for a reshaft and I've never done one before. I seem to recall some problems relating to a ball bearing in the shaft that makes them difficult to take out. Anything else to watch out for?

Graham,
This has come up many times and I will summarize the answers.
1. Heat the head and then freeze the ball with some electronics freeze spray. It should pull right off.
2. Try to drill out the ball. Some balls were case hardened some were not.
3. Drill a small hole in the bottom of the head opposite the ball and then drive it out with a punch. When finished you can tap the hole and epoxy a brass screw in place, and then blend it back in with the club base.
                                                                        Good luck,
                                                                               Frank
