I have an old TaylorMade face balanced putter (Cb.2) that I modified back in 1998 along the same lines. Mine is now 32" long, fat symmetrical grip and 6 oz. of lead powder down the shaft. It continued to be face balanced after the modifications ( didn't expect it to change) and I've been putting well with it for several years now. That being said, I would change to something else in a heartbeat if I felt that it would do a better job, and I'm intrigued by the Heavy Putter. If I see one I'll certainly make an effort to try one for a round or two. I've tried them all, and still have Old Faithful in the bag.
