I hope you didn't think the post was insulting to you. The answer in terms
of sequence is directed to the original question.
I was commenting on your ratio. I agree though I find that when you see a
gap it is really ferrule creep and investigating that first allows further
investigation. finally reaching the most involved process of pulling the shaft.
I wouldn't suggest pulling the shaft as a first step of
investigation.
