John you are correct and I already came to the same conclusion a standard head
is too light for a belly.

My son Duane is real picky on his requirements with 11 of his 14 clubs set for
20 years. His backup set is 7 years old, identical and never hit. Only 3 clubs
he will try to find better are: driver | hybrid | putter. Most heads are fit
by himself by eye. LH'ed much harder to find the gold nugget.

I play the Yes Natalie and his best friend plays the Emma I built. Duane puts
on an arc (Utley not Pelz) so needs toe hang and not face balanced. He has
already dismissed both of these designs and the Carolyne is centre shafted. He
loves the low loft and C-groove which Yes provides, along with a no insert
solid stainless face.

Can someone take a 400 gram Carolyne head and modify it to fit his
requirements? Right now he plays a Yes Callie which kicked out a rare limited
edition S Cameron out of his bag which we sold.

Thanks Harry

Subject: Re: ShopTalk: need LH'ed Belly Putter 42 inch

The putter head David is promoting is simply a fairly standard weight
putter head that he's making into a belly putter and I don't think
your son would be happy with the feel/distance control with the light
head (by belly putter standards). Belly putter heads should be in
the 400g-425g range, long putters 450-500g.
I'd go with the Yes! Carolyne, it should be about 390g.
I'm playing a properly weighted Yes C-groove Emma and Natalie model
and they're excellent.
