Hi all, so we tried changing three settings. first use used long-aec+nr in ti_calypso_dsp_mode is seems a bit better, but I'm not sure if this is the best we can do second I lowered the default speaker volume from 127 to 115 third I lower a bit the default mic volume from 127 to 120 the last two settings are in the gsmhandset.state file.
I'm definitely not sure if there are the correct default settings, but they seems more reasonable then what I got by default with shr unstable. your experience ? I guess since we all have the same hw, we should be able to find reasonable default settings that work for everybody... Moreoveor with my last shr installation in novemnber the default seetings were much better. do you know what changed ? :) p On Tue, Jan 05, 2010 at 03:44:14PM +0000, Vasco Névoa wrote: > I used "long-aec" for a long time with better results than the default. > I understood a long time ago that the calypso was doing excessive noise > reduction, causing sound breakup. > But since I did this at a time when everybody else was playing with alsa > controls, I decided to wait for a stable configuration. > Now with the latest SHR-U, I haven't given any attention to this issue, so > I don't know if it's worth it, but I think it is preferable to have a > little background noise than a choppy sound. > > Pietro Abate wrote: > > Hi, > > two more here (me and one of my collegues) have the same problem...
