im sure someone can top me, but ill share my setup anyway:
gateway box (200mhz pentium, 32mb old ram)
------------
very slim slack 8.0 install
updated kernel to 2.4.9 and compiled with routing capability
does NAT and port mapping through iptables
server box (450mhz p3, 256mb sdram)
-----------
X-less, network heavy slack 8.0 install
just discovered today that i never updated this kernel to 2.4.x (ill get
around to it...)
still running kernel 2.2.19
DHCP server for LAN
full-fledged DNS server (internal/external)
will someday map ports and setup ftp/http services
workstation box (1.4ghz gig amd tbird, 512mb ddr)
----------------
was initially my first install of slackware (v8.0 like the rest)
upgraded kernel to 2.4.9
jacked around with the rc.d startup scripts a little
changed a bunch of other stuff over the past few months; cant remember
this one actually has X (use Gnome; kinda liking KDE tho)
in the process of installing OpenGL and support for my Nvidia card
(recompile/install X, compile/install Mesa, jack around with Nvidia's linux
drivers)
dual-boot with win98se for games (ya, ya, im working on the linux video card
stuff)
ya, i think thats about it. everyone share :)
