For a number of devices, sigrok makes use of firmware files extracted
from vendor software. If a device driver has been tested with firmware
extracted from a particular software version, it would be useful to
archive this software somewhere, since vendor updates can break things.
Of course some vendor's software agreements disallow re-distribution,
but often this is not the case.
What are the rules within the sigrok project for archiving and linking
to vendor software?
I understand that archiving vendor software on the wiki site itself is
not allowed. How about archiving on an external site (e.g. github) and
