OK, if the political class in india (whether governmental or NG) tends

Does it? What about the tradition of coopting the trappings and
symbols of power in order to mock them?

Khadi seems like a perfect vehicle for that. Handmade, by individuals,
it should be perfect for throwing the hypocrisy of politicians back in
their faces.

I've been shopping at Khadi Bhandar, but I don't think I'll ever be
mistaken for an Indian politician. Am I committing some kind of faux
pas? How about if I dye some of my khadi black and paint a big red A
in a circle on it?
