Unless you are looking to download large files (over ten's of mb) or looking to hookup the cellphone to your laptop to act as your laptop's internet gateway, 200kbps is still decent for current applications people use. (If you have an application that needs more download bandwidth on a cellphone, first please prove that it has more than 1000 users and is out of beta!) - Vinit
