I am surprised he did not mention "branded FMCG at discount to MRP." -something that even local kirana guy does not give. Anyway, my point is *mass* retailing anywhere in the world is about price and accessibility. The format itself is incidental (to the customer, even if of utmost bottom line importance to the business).
