Point taken. I cannot generalise in this crude manner.
Neither was that the intention.

This country is still worth living simply because of those good thinking hindus
who dont vote for the BJP.

Getting back to the original question, will the BJP gain or lose further, with
their new strategy?

> "Since you have not voted for BJP you are NOT core Hindus.
> You are an Italian, Christian, Muslim sympathizers"

The problem with a debate is that instead of focussing on the original topic we
end up splitting hairs over something else.

> It is this fiddling with semantics that helped screw the BJP.
> It is one thing to win support.
> It is a different matter to mock and taunt those who do not
> support you as being unpatriotic, anti-national,
> non nationalist, paseudo-secular.
> This is what I found the BJP and its constituency doing.

Brilliant, that is a truly valid reason for the BJP loss.
I am 100% sure this point was not discussed by their national executive. Nor
was it part of Yeshwant Sinha's or Jaswant Singh's nor Arun Shourie's letters.

The problem is that his monster is not about to roll over and die. Its going to
come back.

Lukhman.
