I am unable to decide if this is a good thing or bad. Would it be better for the "umbilical cord" to remain intact so that the BJP can exert its influence to keep the Sangh extremism in check, or will severing it mean a more healthy BJP which can grow into a party which appeals to religious minorities as well but the Sangh runs riot?
