The same thing was true back in the late 1980s too and I made a mental note of the factors that people were whining about as part of the decision making process to return to India which I did in 1990. In 2007 I received a letter from the US consulate in Chennai saying that the papers to process a green card for me and my family to emigrate to the US were ready (based on an application filed by my brother maybe 16 or 17 years ago) I declined the offer because there is too much going against it. shiv
