I suggest The Boy in the Moon by Ian Brown and The Golden Mean by Annabel Lyon. Since I haven't followed this discussion on book recommendations, my message might suffer from the Lurkers' Occupational Hazard i.e. completely out of context recommendations. Blame it on my hangover from imbibing these two books recently.
