More to the point of this thread - both Christianity and Islam were/are early adopters of the concept of "stochastic terrorism". If one looks at the graphic that you have linked vertically rather than horizontally - one gets an idea of how many seemingly long lasting organizations (civilizations?) have been overrun by the simple concept of stochastic terrorism being dignified by the name "religion". Stochastic terrorism works. The only response that I can think of is a tit for tat response where the inciters and the "bullets" of stochastic terrorism are simply eliminated. shiv
