I have been using the Yoganidra technique for last several years (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yoga_nidra) and find it very effective. Eventually, my entire family took to using it. My son Advait has created a free Android app for guided meditation. Called Deep Relax, it combines elements of Yoganidra and binaural tones.
