Often the doctors should tell more. More options, more possibilities,
and methods that might help. I guess you know, it is against the law for
them to recommend any treatment that is not AMA approved. Bad News ! (
That is AMA Law )
>> They make me horribly thirsty. Just wondered if you (or anyone else)
had heard of these phenomena.
Once when I was traveling all the time, I developed diarrhea.
After a few days, I wanted to stop it. I told myself,
"I am going to stop this". So, I stopped at a roadside stand and guess
what I bought for this purpose?
A large bag of raw peanuts and a large bag of apples.
As I drove along, I was eating these constantly. Yes, it stopped
immediately. You could say, "Maybe it was going to stop anyway" but I
think not.
More people have digestive problems than we ever realized.
This is a serious ailment because it effects overall health.
Much of the immune system function comes from the gut.
( about 60 % I think ) So, if the gut is not functioning properly, the
immune system will be impaired greatly.
Of course I can't tell you how to solve your problem. I can only offer
ideas and guidelines to use in your studies and experimentation.
Where shall we start ?
Many digestion problems start in the mouth and the stomach, with the food,
eating habits, and food combining. Some even start with the food
itself. People say they can't eat this and can't eat that. If so, they
should know it. Some will eat it anyway.
Digestion starts in the mouth when food is mixed with enzymes.
Hydrochloric acid production is low in most people over age 40.
In the group that is sick enough to go to a doctor for any reason, the
people that cannot make enough Hydrochloric acid is 90 %.
If the stomach does not do the job right before the food goes into the
digestion track, heaven only knows of all the failures and bad things that
happen, including immune system function decline.
Pains and feeling may result that tell you in no uncertain terms, something
is drastically wrong.
Many highly technical things are involved.
The Brain in the Gut
The Vagus Nerve
Intercellular Communication
Yes, all these have to function for perfect digestion. We can blame our
problem on many things but it may be so complex that few if any doctors can
figure it out.
One of my older sisters had a problem with the Vagus nerve and the doctor
said it was responsible for her digestion ailment.
Was he guessing or how did he arrive at that decision?
Which brings up another subject I should have included at the top.
The Nervous system. Many people have problems with the nerves.
So, any nutrients that help the nerves could help the digestion.
Usually we do not have to worry about all these highly technical
areas. Simple changes can help. Experiment. You have full control of
the laboratory. No one else does.
Change the eating habits and methods
Adding a few foods and eliminating others
Eat smaller meals and more than 3 meals per day.
I think 3 meals per day is an American Disaster.
Don't overlook fats. One of the best is Raw Sunflower seeds.
This food along can help some people. One ounce 3 or 4 times per day could
help, plus some decent nutrients are there also.
Some special foods or mixtures of them offer advantages.
Trail mix, if the right ingredients are used is the best food on the face
of the earth.
I mix peanut butter, coconut oil, and/or Honey and Black Strap
molasses. I eat one pint of this per week.
I won't suggest Raw Liver, but Adelle Davis believed in it strongly.
Most of the foods I eat intentionally, have the nutritional analysis
here. http://www.fugitt.com/trailmix.htm

I have seen others I like better.
I failed to mention, "The control system of the body".
That is another subject.
