Dee. I have used DMSO directly on a tumor on the inside of my upper arm and no problems on my skin. I have done this for a long, long time. I quit for the last 3-4 months since I could not tell that the tumor had gone down. Began again the other day?? have mixed with CS some. Was just wondering why the rash; perhaps mixed with medicine he was internally taking?? Would like to know should you find out.

As you know, I put the gel on husbands knee and it worked but produced this rash. Well, two weeks later he still has the rash and I looked it up in Widepedia. It seems that quite a lot of damage can be caused by solvents and it seems that this has happened in this case. I realize that I shouldn't have used it neat, but as there are no instructions on the container, this is understandable. It actually says *not* to get it on the skin but because I knew that people did use it I ignored this. I'm just posting this to say that if anyone is recommending this product to anyone (including for use with animals) it has to be very clear how to use it. I am desperately hoping that this will reverse in time, but at the moment, he is in massive discomfort and the use of anti-histamines does not seem to be having much effect. We are off to the doctors again tomorrow to own up to what we used. No doubt I'll be getting a well deserved lecture. Dee
