I pulled the info on magnesium a number of years ago so I no longer have
citations for you. Sorry. I would suggest that you look at the MagTabs SR
as it is the only form of magnesium lactate I have found on the market.
Since it is sustained release I have found it to be very gentle.

I actually had this happen. I was using Iosol painted on over my thyroid
as a result of being told it would help the hypothyroidism. I then ended
up with thyroid nodules. Iodine is not a mineral to be use lightly.
I have found that the magnesium formula used is important. I use MagTabs
SR because they are sustained release. I use it in the morning and then
I use magnesium chelate at lunch and dinner. There is some wonderful
information on the web about magnesium, the different formulae and their
effects. I read it is important that it not work too fast as it needs to
be kept in the bowel for a considerable amount of time or it is not
properly absorbed and a supplement that caused quick evacuation might
actually contribute to a mag deficiency. People will need to find what
works best for them after doing some research.

Interesting mag info. Any particular links to share? I have not found a
form of oral magnesium that I can take (it all gives me diarrhea even at
very low doses). Currently I am experimenting with topical magnesium,
nothing positive to report so far but I haven't been applying it daily
yet.
