Number 5 plastic, I am surprised it does not get lose in the dishwasher. I do not drink out of plastic that is not number 2 (I tend to react to the others) should be OK going through the dishwasher though.
IF you drink that much water put it through the dishwasher twice a week and put the pellet only in once a day (there is enough left in the bottle to at least have a drop left and so will continue the energy in the bottle for the day.) Succuss only twice each refill in general that is.
