Mine is the same as yours Linda i.e. Now lecithin granules non GMO. There is a definite smell of paint though, but as I got them from the US I don't think it would pay to send them back! I have found another brand here which is GMO free and also says can be taken when pregnant (not that this applies to me <lol>) and can be given to children, but is an indication of the safety I would have thought. Most brands say *not* to take if pregnant and don't give to children. dee
