"Because of their sub-microscopic size and their composition, liposomes
slip right through the digestive system unharmed and unchanged. Then,
they are readily absorbed by the intestines where they are transported
directly to the liver via the lymphatic system.

Once in the liver, the liposomes are digested and the Vitamin C is
released."

Hi Dee,
Please read my post to Harvey, for me to make an educated comment on the
product you are talking about I would have to catch up to you regarding
the research on this product.

Well Doc, I don't know if you have read Brookes Bradleys research on
this (he runs a research institute) this is not the case. He says they
have had *huge* success with using this protocol i.e. LET Vit C in their
research. It is not costing much because I am doing it at home (using
Brookes recommendation) and combining my lecithin with the Vit C using
an ultra-sonic cleaner. Look up Brookes Bradley in the archives and you
will see what I mean. dee

liposomes have been around for many years. They were used in cosmetics
as a delivery system for the 'actives' because they increased the
bioavailability of the 'payload'. Then, folks extrapolated this concept
to products taken internally. While it is true that certain ingredients
are absorbed better when taken with fats, and there are certainly many
products that are sold in a 'powdered' format that have 'spray dried'
lecithin applied to them for this reason. Here is what happens, it has
been my contention that buying oral liposomal products (typically more
expensive) are a waste of money. Once the liposome is taken internally
and the product reaches the stomach (when it is mixed with water), the
lecithin and the product dissociate. This means they separate, so now
the extra $ that you paid to have this process done is
literally...undone. The bottom line is...you can get the same effect if
you want to increase the bioavailability of an ingredient by just
putting your lecithin into the same glass of water that you are taking
the 'active' with.

chemical reaction that 'changes' the active in some way before you take
it, that would be a different story. Life will be much simpler if you
just take the two together, this way as the stomach empties into the
intestine, all ingredients will be there at the same time to 'do their
thing' just like if they were in a liposomal form. A little test for you
to try...if you take a bit of lecithin and put it into a glass of water
(warm) you will notice that in a few mins. it will begin to disperse
into the water. The same thing happens in the stomach.
