James -- I don't know where you live -- but we have dentists in our area who do dentures for under a thousand dollars. My husband had both upper and lowers replaced for about $700.00, and he chose their most expensive ones. These were replacement dentures, so he had no expenses for removal of any teeth. He did require a repair on one, which was done at no charge.
I suggest that you grab your yellow pages and start making phone calls to get prices. If they can do them here that cheap, they can do them elsewhere that cheap. And if not -- you could always take a trip here to get them. :-) MA P.S.
