All generators that use electricity and water make the OH[-] anions in a one to one ratio to the Ag[+] ions.
OH[-] rich water is known as [true] "Alkaline Water"

Using a buffer such as Baking Soda will produce Silver Carbonate which is a photo-reactive compound [as is Silver Chloride made when using salt]

The only way to make EIS faster is to use bigger electrodes to spread the current out....or more voltage, but that tends to overload the Nernst Diffusion layer resulting in high silver hydroxide and silver oxide content [ yellow-brown-black CS].

Not sure if no one has an opinion on this or if it got lost when the site went down. Curious on this and doesn't seem to be enough info I can find that swings the benefits or lack of one way or the other. Also since I haven't yet purchased a machine this helps as well. I think I've narrowed down to one that has reasonable times for creation and can make larger batches or be able to make larger batches just because it doesn't take 8hrs to create a smaller batch.

I've come across 2 manufacturers that are advocating the use of
sodium bicarbonate(baking powder) cspro system and then sodium
carbonate for the Silvertron Elite model.

Does anyone have any real experience doing this as everything I
have read so far says not to use anything other than Distilled
water? I know they are doing it to increase conductivity and say
there is no reaction but I am still curious on what if any changes
this really makes to the Ionic solution. I also know that this
does raise the PH a bit which is a benefit.

In the Silver Lungs machine it states that the PH is around 10 but
they don't use any of the carbonates to increase it so I'm also
curious on how that gets that high without the use of an additive.

    Any thought?
