 Dear Andre,
I have not any great experience, but before the
experts answer, we think that you should not
attempt to drink it. The bitter taste may be from
Silver Nitrate or Silver Chloride, which are both
 toxic. >>

Andre & Carol: I don't believe that THAT particular taste has to do with the
presence of silver nitrate or silver chloride. Having made both HVAC and LVDC
CS, I believe that taste is related to particle size. For example, from my
experience, a 5 PPM HVAC, or a well made LVDC CS of similar concentration has
practically no taste. So if the CS tastes metallic or bitter, it's probably
an indication that your particle size is on the high side. As far as I know,
it should still work fine (particularly -- no pun intended -- if it's clear
or faint yellow), so I would mask the taste by mixing it with some fruit
juice or putting it in a soup or something. However, you should filter your
product, and don't forget to wash your filter paper first by pouring
distilled water through it several times and discarding the water before
filtering your product. Roger
