Del,
        The whole point in using distilled water vice tap water is
to minimize the possible formation of *anything* that is not CS.  If
you have "good" tap water then by all means enjoy it (and your good
luck).  However, when using a poorly understood process to
manufacture a product for internal use the need to minimize
variables is paramount.  Granted that you may not be producing
anything harmful...but do you know for sure?  I don't and that is
why I start every batch of CS with the purest water that I can find
(or make).
