Any inorganic minerals (unchelated or non ligated) are chelated by bacterial action at the root site before they can be absorbed, I believe. Once in the plant system they are used in various ways and will not be found in a free state I should think. There is a developing industry in providing mineral fertilisers in the chelated form, and it is claimed that minerals chelated with citric acid can pass directly into the root system and also be absorbed via the foliage. I have read a little about prions...unusual protein forms that have the unfortunate ability to influence and cause other proteins to assume their form and cause damage in this way to certain brain functions. Research in this area is a bit beyond me at this time :-) Ivan. -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
