Dear Ted,
We are in the midst of a rural area where it is grown in the field
brassica
[1000 acres] next door to us. It grows to about 4 feet - give or take
a little depending on rainfall, has leaves much the same as mustard
weed
and rape, is a thin stemmed brassica type plant with the same
brilliant yellow flowers of rape - the whole crop flowers at once.
The seed pods are 2 to 3 inches long and less than half an inch wide
and hold two rows 15 to 30 seeds on each side small and fit through a
2 ml screen. The seeds that are round, black-skinned and gold inside.
Regards,
Judith.
