This is one of those urban myth articles that has been making the rounds of the internet for a while. It is completely fallacious, but like any good scare has little kernels of truth. Canola oil does come from the rapeseed, there is no canola plant or bean. However the rapeseed is not GMO if you are buying a certified organic canola oil.
The rapeseed is a member of the mustard family and before you tell me about mustard gas, let me just remind you that you eat mustard seeds and many mustard plant greens if you even eat mesclun or baby greens salad mixes. Go to any of the urban myth debunking websites, and you can see reports about this and any number of these falsehood scares. They always sound so convincing, I fell for the one about the asbestos in tampons, and ever since then I have checked out scary stuff like this before I circulate it some more. JM2C Heidi Scholes > this has a little bit about rape seed in it. Don't touch the stuff Hanan. -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
