Hello, All-- I've tried unsuccessfully to find Robert Warren of the California Alcohol Fuel Producers' Assn., who had a super high efficiency distiller guaranteed to make 5 gal. of 190 proof "on your first run". It employed special baffles housed in 4" copper tubing configured in a narrow, inverted "U" shape about 5' tall, connecting two reservoirs that sat on the floor. The unit was advertised a defunct solar catalog several years ago.
I'll be getting details soon on running such fuels in a 1:4 mixture with WATER...so please let me know of any info about making alcohol from free material such as dead wood or sawdust (I've heard that only malic acid & sugar are required).
