Actually, you had better do your homework. While it is true that
"vapor trails" can be formed by the wings, it is due to the change in
air pressure from the wing moving through the air. This is normally
encountered in dense, humid air (at lower altitudes, especially over a
warm body of water, such as a fighter aircraft on climbout from a
carrier) during times when the wing disturbs the air greatly, ie a
high angle of attack.

What you see from the ground ( I am not discounting chemtrails here)
under NORMAL circumstances is condensation in the exhaust plume. You
see, any time you burn a hydrocarbon in air, you will certainly make
H2O! In times past, before the use of high-bypass turbofans, the
contrail was further away from the aircraft. With todays engines, the
exhaust is mixed with quite a bit of the bypass air before it leaves
the exhaust nozzle, and therefore starts to cool rapidly.

To say that the contrails you see during the normal flight of a jet
aircraft flying at altitude doesn't come from the engines is
incorrect. Passenger aircraft making maneuvers that would cause vapor
to appear from the disturbance of air by the wing, while flying at
altitude, would certainly tear the wings from the body of the craft.
