Whoa!!

Diatomaceous Earth is NOT dangerous.  You can drink it.  You can bathe
in it.  You *can* dust your underarms with it (if you're so inclined).
Just don't breath heavy concentrations of it (the same goes of almost
any chemical, including alcohol or vinegar).

You can make it into a paste (it doesn't become "inactivated" in
water, which contradicts another message in this thread).

DE can be dusted on house plants -- or garden plants -- to keep most
insects away.  It can be rubbed into the coats of cats and dogs, and
the animals won't get hurt by DE when they lick their coats (it
probably will help them).  It can be dusted onto pets' bedding, and
into rugs.  It will drastically reduce the population of carpet mites
(a major cause of household allergies).

Like colloidal silver, diatomaceous earth is one of the great,
all-around preventatives produced by nature.
