Robb ~ Sorry to hear you are in distress and sounding like you feel you are falling apart! I'm a pianist also, so know what you're saying when you don't want to lose your fingers, along with the relaxation of playing.
Have you ever tried apple cider vinegar? It works well for arthritis in that it cleans out the arteries. Judging by the way it keeps my animals waterers cleaner (no algae that we get in a day in the summer time heat without it), I assume it does the same internally. I've got some animals that come running when they see the ACV jug being poured into their waterers. Full of minerals and vitamins. Great for digestion, amongst a host of other things. In the book, The Complete Cider Vinegar, it says for arthritis (incl. rheumatoid): 1. On rising, 2 tsps. of cider vinegar in a tumbler of water. 2. With each meal, 2 tsps. EACH of cider vinegar and molasses with 1 tsp. of honey, sipped during the meal in a tumbler of room temp water. 3. A natural vitamin & mineral supplement each day. 4. Diet very low in sugar and refined flour. 5. A diet low in animal fat. Many testimonials in the book, one including an elderly man who was in a wheel chair crippled with arthritis, but after the above, he was dancing and no longer in a wheel chair! Worth a shot. Best if you get organic apple cider vinegar at the health food store, but I have found even the supermarket variety works. Just make sure NOT to get the ACV "flavored" stuff. You want real ACV. Hope to hear you are doing better soon!
