That is not true. Aspartame was indeed mentioned, and it said ant poison, not rat poison. Here is the exact text of that message: Reputable company means nothing. Check the labels for ingredients. Some vitamins from reputable companies have ant poison in them that can cause severe health problems, even brain tumors. Avoid any that have aspertame in them. > > Both my wife and I have been buying vitamin and mineral > supplements for at least 30 years, I do do my research, > so I took exception to that statement as it reflected on my > intelligence as an informed consumer. > Then you were not fully informed. My statement still stands and is accurate. > > As to aspertame being an ant poison - that may be true, > I heard something about that 2 or 3 years ago, but I passed it > off as typical fear mongering. But consider how many people, > sick people at that, regularly take warfarin as a blood thinner > -- warfarin is used as a RAT POISON! That is true. It is a blood thinner. If you thin the blood too much then you will bleed to death. That is how it works. It works the same way for both high blood pressure and killing rats. No problem there, nothing to be concerned about. > > Or substances extracted from plants that are known sources > of poisons that are/were used as PEOPLE poisons. But if one takes a poison, whether it be in seeds for cyanide to kill cancer, or warfarin to think blood, one needs to know that at the dosages they are taking it it does not poison them. In the case of aspertame there is a huge amount of information that indicates that it is toxic over long periods of time, even at low dosages. The effects of the poison need to be known. For warfarin it thins the blood, you quit taking it and the blood goes back to normal again. With apartame, it causes many many ills, and for many of them they do NOT about to be totally reversible. For instance the brain tumors will not go away if you stop taking it, they may stop forming, but those there tend to stick around. > > > Or what about taking a very unstable EXPLOSIVE !!! Nitroglycerin is used for heart medicine. It is stabilized so the capsules don't explode so that is not a problem. > > P.S. My wife uses SACCHARINE to sweeten her tea. Which is carcinogenic in rats. Not sure they have ever made a connection with cancer in people though, unlike aspertame which has almost 100 things it causes listed on the FDA site I have been told. Marshall
