Several of us use the NST for making CS, including me, and there are a few
CS units on the market that do so as well. This is the reason they are
used, and they work very well.

I too am using CS production equipment based on the Neon Sign Transformer.
However, I am troubled by warnings that:

" If you don't use dry ice to make a CO2 atmosphere in the brew cell to
will generate unsafe levels of NO3 and NO, both ar poisonous to people
!!!!!", according to our dear friend "Ole Bob"

Currently, I have no way to verify the presence of these chemicals. My
questions are:
+ Is this a "high-classed worry" (insignificant ammounts)?
+ Producing without an inert atmosphere, what may be done to neutralize any
NO3, and NO that is in the CS?

Any advice/assistance on how you use your NTS equipment relative to NO3/NO
is very much appreciated.

Thanks,
  :) Marv
