  Hi MA,

The Hanna reads ppm directly. 1 uS = 1 ppm. I posted an analysis of
Frank Key's data, along with information from Ivan Anderson and
Trem. The results are in this post:

    http://escribe.com/health/thesilverlist/m63151.html

For another example, Ken posted the results of an experiment with
baking soda. He ran 1 milliamp for 2 hrs and 41 minutes, and found
the cs increased by 22.8 uS.

When I ran the Faraday calculations, I found the expected increase
was 22.83 ppm, almost exactly what he measured. The url is

This confirms the relationship between uS and ppm is 1 uS = 1 ppm.

The Colloid Master is a pretty good cs generator. I'd skip all the
hoopla on solar flares - 24ppm cs will probably get a yellow tint no
matter what the sun is doing.

The best I can do is about 22ppm - when I try to push it higher, it
gets a pale straw tint several days or a week later. It's due to
silver oxides that were formed during the brew agglomerating and
absorbing the blue end of the spectrum. The oxides are inert and
harmless, but have no biological activity. A bit of H2O2 will turn
the solution clear, but the Tyndall will probably still be quite
strong. This shows not all the oxides are converted back to ions.
It's still better than nothing if you are in a jam.

Best Wishes,

Mike Monett
