I believe mine is the same one Garnet has. It came with charcoal
post-filters that go into the cap so the water goes through the filter
before going into the collection bottle. I have never used them. I
usually clean mine with vinegar just like Garnet does hers. But the
distiller did come with a jar of cleaner---some kind of crystals, I have
no idea what it is.
Probably I should check and see if my faucet filter removes
chloramine, but the water dept here keeps saying they still use chlorine.

The GE page says activated carbon removes chloramines:

Garnet's distiller has Coconut Charcoal filters, but they are at the
output of the distiller instead of before it as recommended on the
GE page. I wonder if it would make any difference?
