There are a couple of secrets as to how to clean up glass cookware
without having to shed tears. Allow the pot, pan or whatever to cool down
somewhat, but not all the way. Fill the sink with very hot water and a
grease cutting detergent. Let soak overnight. In the morning, you can
clean it with one of those steel or copper round pads (and I don't mean S.O
S steel wool). Or get one of those scrubbing pads that guys use for fine
sanding drywall. Any substance left on the glass doesn't stand a chance.
They are now selling the drywall pads in the cleanser and dish detergent
isles along with the sponges, etc. Somebody got to the idea before I did.

Yes have found it to be a pain when something burns on it. I mostly use the
glass pots for cooking or warming food up. You would think, spraying with
cooking oil would make it easier, but, isn’t good to heat any type of oil
including cooking oil because it changes the properties of the oil making it
carcinogenic. Using coconut oil would be best, this from what I have come to
understand, is stable under high temperatures.

It may be safe to cook with glass, but it is MISERABLE TO CLEAN UP
AFTERWARDS! Maybe it should be sprayed with a cooking oil or something else
to make the cleanup easier.
