I love leftovers and love to cook lots and freeze in
meal size bowls.  It would be so difficult to have to
turn oven on for 1/2 hour or more to heat something I
can heat in 4 minutes in the microwave.  Also, soups
and things of that sort do so much better in the
microwave ....unless you can plan ahead many hours to
thaw it completely before heating in a saucepan.  I
like to just see what I'm in the mood for and pull it
out of the freezer, otherwise I waste lots.  Might eat
out on the spur of the moment and here's thawed lunch
going to waste.  I used to freeze pureed meats in ice
cube trays for the baby and thaw in toaster oven, but
it never turns out as nice as microwaved things.  I
wonder if there are definite studies that show any
harm to food.  They need to test thousands of things
and see if anything is altered.
