People who use longer times are usually using larger volumes of distilled water or use some sort of current limiting so that their current levels would not reach the high levels you would get in your unregulated system towards the end of the brewing time.

will try switching the polarity every 15 mins,, not a problem,, but how long do you normally brew for, my directions read 45 mins,, yet have heard of hours,, and once left on all nite, as i had forgotton about, and wound up with a dark iced tea look, which i discarded.. thanks, geo.
